Lola T460 Formula Atlantic
Chassis number HU17 is a very successful and immaculate Lola with a well-documented history. Available with a strong Racing Fabrications Atlantic BDA for £49,950 or could alternatively be supplied in F2 specification with a BDG engine for £59,950. Slicks and wets on F2 and Atlantic wheels. Hewland FT200 box with numerous spare ratios.
The car was originally raced in the USA in the 1976 Players Challenge Pro Atlantic series, and then in SCCA first as a Formula B and then Formula A (4 Regional and 8 National wins in 1978/1979). After a period in storage a professional ground-up restoration was completed in 1999. The car won 4 SCCA Concours D’Elegance awards in 1999/2000, and was then raced three times before being sold to the UK.
A further extensive rebuild was carried out in 2008, prior to DBT HF2 outings in the hands of Terry Fullerton and Jim Blockley, before being sold to South African racer Fred Phillips. Fred has maintained the car’s excellent condition and the car can be viewed with him until late November, when it is returning to us in the UK.
Still beautifully presented in its original Carmel Plaza livery and ready to race with a good spares package.
