This stunning Lotus 23 is in full 23B specification with a fresh all steel twin cam and rebuilt Hewland Mk 9 gearbox. An extensive (£40k) nut and bolt rebuild has just been completed by specialists, preserving and restoring as many original components as possible. The work is fully documented and photographed in the history file.
Originally supplied to a customer in the US, the car returned to the UK in 1980 and was raced by John Brindley, amongst others. It was sold to Denmark in 1990 and driven by renowned historic racer Otto Reedtz-Thott, before being fully restored and brought back to the UK for sale.
